Welcome to the YIS ! YIS continually strives to be the very best school that it can be. The school has a reputation of being an outstanding international school within the country and the region.
YIS has a very experienced and active teaching staff. There are 57 teachers and many teaching assistants. We feel that our teacher-student ratio provides students with a personalized educational opportunity. Teachers are mostly from the USA. Other countries represented include Canada, Australia, and Myanmar.
Our facilities are some of the best in the country. We have a beautiful campus with tropical plants and a swimming pool. Classrooms are well resourced with teaching supplies and materials. Most of the textbooks and supplies come from the US.
The 500 students of YIS are extremely talented and have been successful in the three A’s: Academics, Activities, and Athletics. The school promotes a well rounded education and it has truly served as the center of activities for many students.
