About this school : Panaga School differs from most other primary schools in that the parents of the majority of our children are working for the oil and gas industry. There are currently 12 other Shell schools to be found around the world in locations where Shell operates; namely Gabon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, England, Russia and Syria. The schools range in size from just twenty pupils on roll, to Panaga – which is the largest Shell school – with an enrolment of 617 pupils.

Shell schools have changed in recent years. Previously, the core student population was either British or Dutch. Panaga School now has children from 37 different nations. The teachers at Panaga are British, Dutch, Australian, South African and Canadian. The curriculum has also changed to meet the needs of the children.
