B&J Diving Centre is a Malay/German/Swiss run dive school, which started its operation back in 1987 and runs two dive shops on Tioman Island on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Diving has become our life and our passion. Our mission is to fill your holiday with fun, excitement and unforgettable memories; without cutting on quality and safety and while protecting our marine environment.
You have the choice between Salang Bay, which lies at the northern tip of Tioman Island close to the prime dive sites, and Ayer Batang (aka ABC) which is a bit further south and more tranquil.
B&J is further the owner and operator of Tioman Dive Resort (aka TDR), which is located in ABC Bay. TDR has been launched in 2012 with the first 6 rooms and opened a further 5 rooms in 2014. We’re proud to offer some of the best accommodation available on Tioman Island and all our guests have a smile on their faces when they enter the rooms.
B&J is a fully qualified and multiple award winning PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center (offering all PADI courses from beginner to instructor level) as well as a DSAT technical diving training facility (offering technical diving education up to trimix instructor). We’re a DAN sponsor (offering DAN dive insurance) and place high value on protecting our environment. As a GoEco operator, GreenFins operator and Project AWARE award winner we take care of our ocean environment and have a strict no glove and no touch policy.
Our facilities are fully equipped with some of the best dive equipment available in the market (primarliy Scubapro), which is service on a regular basis. The Bauer compressors provide the purest air available (we’re the only dive centre in Malaysia that’s Bauer Pure Air Certified) and we’re also the only dive centre on Tioman that provides Nitrox, Oxygen and Helium tank fills. Both our shop’s have a well balanced retail section ranging from PADI educational material, dive gear, t-shirts, accessories to tec diving equipment.
The dive centre in ABC has a swimming pool, which makes the first step into scuba diving a bit easier for beginners. We’re also operationg the B&J Beach Bar for yu to relax after a happy day of diving.
