Welcome

The College opened in August 2014 and caters for students from Pre-Nursery (aged 2) to Year 8 (aged 13). We will continue to grow into a full Senior School, planning to offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and an internationally recognised pre-university qualification.

At Dulwich College (Singapore) our children will always come first. The College offers a friendly, intimate and student-centred learning environment where your child will be placed at the very centre of the learning process and receive a broad and balanced education.

‘Bringing out the best in our children’ is our constant aim. This means developing and nurturing a successful blend of creativity, confidence and courtesy which will equip our young people to cope with the demands of life in the 21st century, wherever they may end up living in the world.

The Dulwich College educational philosophy places equal emphasis on intellectual and personal development. To that end we focus on four core areas throughout the College: academic excellence; commitment to sport; community engagement; and the promotion of the performing arts.

Academically selective, the College will follow an enhanced form of the English National Curriculum, which enjoys an excellent reputation throughout the world. The emphasis is on how to learn, rather than just factual knowledge, and a great deal of importance is placed on the students’ ability to work independently and to develop their own thinking.

In addition to the obvious benefits of promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle, involvement in sport is one of the best ways to develop social and leadership skills. At the College, students have a chance to experiment and to discover where their skills lie by trying their hand at a variety of sports. Our commitment is to the provision of a large range of sports allied with high levels of professional coaching. We believe strongly in the benefits of competitive sport where we play to win but we also learn to accept defeat with good grace and renewed determination.

The performing arts will be at the heart of the College. Our aim is to give every student the opportunity to perform for themselves, their friends and their families. Some will be soloists, others will shine as part of a group, but all will have the reward of being part of a community that is confident and proud in what it does.

Whilst Dulwich College (Singapore) is a new school, we draw on over 400 years of experience in education. Dulwich College London provides expertise, resources and a rigorous set of academic standards to which we must adhere. In addition, our close ties with our sister schools in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Seoul provide us with further access to resources and experiences here in Singapore and Asia.

At the heart of all this activity are our individual students with their own successes and challenges. We believe in the importance of the good ‘old fashioned’ values of respect, courtesy and manners. These are essential life skills that our young people must understand and embrace. The real journey for all of them is through childhood to adolescence and adulthood and we will be there for them, every step of the way.

Dulwich College in Singapore is an exciting, positive and fun place to be. Trust your children to this school and we will deliver happy, polite, confident and internationally-minded achievers in return.

Dulwich College (Singapore), a school of many nations but a family of one.
