Bangkok Thailand
344 Mu 12 Ramkamhaeng 164 Rd, Minburi, Bangkok Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10510 TH

Bromsgrove International School, Thailand, is a well-established co-educational boarding and day school for over 450 students from ages 2 to 18. The school follows the English National Curriculum, adapted for our international context, from EYFS through to IGCSE and A-Levels. We are affiliated to Bromsgrove School, one of the UK’s most prestigious independent boarding and day schools, steeped in over 450 years of history. We aim to utilize the very best aspects of that educational heritage whilst also fostering in our students a love of independent learning and shaping them to become truly global citizens. The school is a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is also a full member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA). The school is spread across two campuses: the Early Years Campus (Pre-Nursery to Year 2) and Windsor Park Campus (Year 3 to Year 13). The main Windsor Park campus is located on the idyllic Windsor Park Golf Course on the outskirts of Bangkok, within easy reach of Suvarnabhumi International Airport and is approximately 50 minutes away from the Sukhumvit downtown Bangkok.

The school is entering an exciting phase of development and growth, including our boarding provision across the school, with a third boarding house planned for 2016.
We are seeking an individual experienced in pastoral care to work alongside Head of the Boarding House to continue to develop and expand our boarding provision for our Year 3 – Year 13 pupils. The Assistant Head of House will need to be fully involved in the care of the students working 10 days in 14 on duty including weekends and evenings including help with the organising of trips, supervision of study, running weekend and evening activities and purchasing for the house. A large number of the parents of boarders do not speak English and the ability to communicate professionally in Thai is vital to this role. The right successful candidate would be expected to contribute towards the day school either through some form of teaching assistant role, class support or other areas that can be discussed at interview. In addition to the responsibility of assisting in the running of the Boarding House an additional area of responsibility within boarding will be assigned depending on the skills and interests of the successful candidate (for example additional English support, boarding accounts or organizing rotas). The successful candidate will • Have the ability to deliver excellent levels of pastoral care

• Contribute to the extra-curricular activities of the school
• Have experience of pastoral care
• Have very strong spoken and written English and Thai
• Be willing to support the ethos of the school
• Demonstrate the enthusiasm, determination and resilience required for working in pastoral care • Be able to work in a team and support pupils, parents and staff
• Have excellent inter-personal skills and emotional intelligence
• Be computer literate
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be highly approachable and work well with the Thai parents

The role of Assistant Head of House also includes year-round furnished accommodation within the Boarding House, utility bills and three meals per day in term time. To apply please submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae (with a minimum of two referees) and a recent passport photograph to the Director of Boarding, Mr David Williams (who can also be contacted to any answer any role-specific questions prior to application if required) at npraewphan@bromsgrove.ac.th.

Closing date for applications is 25 June 2015 Interviews for short listed candidates will take place in Bangkok or via Skype during the fortnight after the closing date.
