The Assumption College English Program (formerly Assumption Rama II) Bell partnership is recruiting for a ESL Primary and Secondary teacher to join our team. Teachers will work directly for Assumption under the supervision and guidance of Bell English in providing language support to the students.

Roles are to start as soon in August 2015

The Assumption Rama II campus is a new facility with over 800 students. Class sizes range from 16 to 24 students and the school is co-ed. Successful applicants will work for Assumption College English Program’s language support programme under the management of Bell English, one of the leading international providers of language teaching and teacher training. Bell teachers work with primary and secondary students and focus solely on language teaching which may include general English lessons, Cambridge Young Leaner Exam Preparation or project based lessons.  The school is located outside of Bangkok, near Samut Sakhon however the transport is provided by the school to and from Bangkok.

The successful applicants will work with either primary or secondary-age learners. Teachers will also have the opportunity to teach adult learners. All classes take place on site and allow teachers with a background in ESL teaching to experience working in a private Thai school environment, with a strong focus on professional development and the continuing expansion of the Bell Assumption College Rama II partnership.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for teaching and who are looking to take the next step in their careers, either earning higher ESL qualifications or making the transition from language centre ESL to working in a school as a subject teacher. Candidates must demonstrate that they will add value to our teaching team in terms of rapport with staff, commitment to providing quality lessons to our students and to the school as a whole by being culturally-aware and professional at all times. We are looking for positive people, with strong inter-personal skills, who can help us as we continue to develop our centre.

Duties will include:

–   21 contact hours maximum per week
-.  Being present at school from Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm
–   Lesson and course design for general English and extra-curricular courses- Development of supplementary materials
–   Contribution of materials to a resource library
–   Preparation, administration and marking of placement, progress and achievement tests
–   Assisting with the preparation of young learner Cambridge Exams, Starters, Movers and Flyers and Cambridge suite exams KET and PET
–   Assessment and reporting of student performance
–   Helping to run our teacher training program which includes observations, co-teaching and peer observations
–   Contributing to the in-service training of Bell colleagues through presentations and workshops
–   Leading group planning sessions and offering advice and support with regard to teaching approaches and  materials
–   The induction of new staff and assisting teachers in their professional development
–   Participating in school activities such as assemblies, sports days, competitions, and Thai festivals,

Remuneration:
– A salary between 52,000 – 66,000 baht depending on qualifications and experience
-A bonus equivalent to one month’s salary upon the successful completion of the first year of the contract.
– end of first year bonus equal to 50% of one month’s salary and 100% of one month’s salary after two   years

– Degree level qualified
