English and Drama Teacher (Key Stage 3-5)

The International School of Samui (ISS) is a young and vibrant school that takes pride in offering the very best in international education to the local and international children living on Koh Samui. The school has over 230 children enrolled, follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales within an international context and caters for children from 18 months to 18 years of age.
We wish to appoint an outstanding, committed and dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The person appointed will also be responsible for the development of teaching and learning of English and Drama throughout Key Stage 3-5 from January 2016 (or as close as possible thereafter).
As a qualified teacher with experience of teaching the UK curriculum, you will be able to teach Drama, English Literature and English Language throughout Key Stage 3-5. You will be confident teaching students across the age ranges. You will be an excellent communicator, who gets on well with colleagues, students, parents, technology and change. Amongst other things, you will be committed to developing standards of excellence, inspire students through enjoyment and want to develop opportunities for students in and out of the classroom to reach their true potential.
Teaching English and Drama at The International School of Samui is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students. Our small, yet expanding, senior school currently has 70 students across Key Stages 3-5, with a wide range of backgrounds, from around the world.
