KG1 Teacher for Siam International School (SIS) (August 2015)

The Siam International School is looking for interested professionals to fill the position for KG 1(Age 3+) teacher for the 2014-2015 academic year.  Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English and have a degree in early childhood education.  Masters’ degree and or teacher certificate is preferable.  Applicants must have at least four years of experience in the classroom instructing kindergarten or preprimary students in an international or Western school setting.  The responsibilities of the teacher are as follows:

• Create unit, weekly, and daily plans using the school curriculum.
• Teach KG1 classes using the curriculum benchmarks as a guide.
• Use a variety of resources to supplement learning in the classroom.
• Monitor and supervise student activities in the classroom.
• Evaluate student performance using a variety of assessment tools.
• Track and maintain records of student performance.
• Mark and report on student work.
• Maintain contact with parents.
• Supervise students outside the classroom.
• Participate in activities outside of the classroom.
• Ensure student safety and security at all times.
