Experienced native speaker required for brand new kindergarten programme just 15 minutes from a lovely south Thailand beach.
We are opening a brand-new English Kindergarten Programme at Sakaew Wittaya School in the Nakhon Sri Thammarat province. The position offers the successful applicant the opportunity to be in on the ground level of a new English Programme.
The role is for a K1 homeroom teacher with a limited class size of around 25. The syllabus and all modern resources are provided along with full training as necessary. As we expand each year the successful applicant will have the opportunity to become a team leader and have input into future development.
The teaching environment will be a newly refurbished, large classroom with full WIFI access, air conditioning, a large smart T.V and Thai teaching assistants. The school is small and exceedingly beautiful with gardens and open areas for games and activities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching games, songs and content based activities along with both Jolly phonics and Montessori-style phonics as part of a daily routine. We are heavily focused on learning through fun but with a strong and professional academic background. Your supervisor and manager has been living and training teachers in this area for over 15 years and is the schools full time academic consultant.
Regarding the location. The school is located 15 minutes in either direction to some lovely beaches and coastlines of the south. We are 15 minutes from the town of Sichon in one direction and Thassala in the other. We are about 30 minutes from the large city of Nakahon Sri Thammarat and one hour from Surat Thani but have no heavy traffic or city stresses. The ferry pier to Koh Samui and Koh Pangan is a one hour drive away so weekend breaks are simple.
We are looking for a person who is happy to live a relatively quiet life but enjoys the challenge of being creative and fun with young learners.
