Posi tion: School Director
The Siam International School is looking for interested professionals to fill the School Director position.
Thai nationality, Age between 40‐50 years old and have a Masters degree in education (PhD desired).
Applicants must have at least 3 years managing an international school.
The Key Function and responsibilities are as follows:
JOB GOAL: To serve as the chief administrator, leader and supervisor of the in implementing policies,
curriculum activities, and extra‐curriculum activities in a manner that promotes the educational
development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.
• Establish and maintain academic standards
• Promote and strengthen the school’s reputation locally and internationally
• Serve as a professional consultant to the Board on current educational practices
• Advise the Board on educational needs of the school
• Development of the school’s educational program
• Develop academic metrics to evaluate the school’s performance against standards; develop corrective
action plans to address areas where performances does not meet the standards
Management and Development:
•   Develop staffing plans that support and build the school’s academic programs
•   Develop and conduct performance appraisals, develop corrective action plans when performance
does not meet standards
•   Support professional development for all staff
• Develop and maintain an on‐going facility development plan that supports and enhances the academic
•   Implement the current strategic plan and work with the Board to regularly assess and update the plan
to meet the school’s future needs
•   Develop and maintain an on‐going facility development plan that supports and enhances the
academic program
•   Ensure a workable and efficient system is in place to operate all school affairs
•   Assure proper supervision of all student activities
School Policy:
• Identify areas where new policies are required or existing policies need revision, and develop policy for
Board’s approval
•   Promote good communication with the staff, students and the school community
•   Promote the school locally, nationally and internationally
Ministry of Education Accre ditation:
• Coordinate with the school accreditation coordinator all concerns about Ministry of Education
• Be knowledgeable of the accreditation process
• Other duties as assigned by the Board Ensure that school policies are effectively monitored and
Position Requirements:
•Prior experience working in a British/American curriculum‐based school or schools with similar
•Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Education or equivalent experience
•Teacher certification
•Strong communication skills
•Experience with school facilities improvement and planning
•Is a strong, self‐confident leader who will lead by example through all levels of the organization, and
can enforce accountability and apply rules fairly and consistently
•Has an open and straight‐forward communication style
•Is an advocate for faculty and staff who contribute to the educational success of the school
•Has high integrity and strong ethical values
•Is passionate about students and has the interest of the students at heart
