St Stephen’s International School Khao Yai (SISKY) is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teaching professional to join our successful teaching team for a maternity cover position starting in late October 2014 for four months; with the potential for it to be a full time position depending on school growth.

SISKY is located near the town of Pak Chong and is at the entrance to Khao Yai, Thailand’s oldest national park, it is around 200km from Bangkok. The school has been open for nearly 20 years and caters for both boarding and day students. There are currently 130 students on roll across primary and secondary. It is a very picturesque area to live and work in.

The position would suit someone who has a sense of adventure, is independent and is prepared to share their ideas. You will need to be capable of working in a strong team environment and have a high level of professionalism and work ethic. The ideal candidate would have experience of delivering the IPC (although not essential).This post will be a rewarding experience and an opportunity to work in a fascinating part of the world.

Cataloguing of all library stock
Issue of books to students and staff
Preparation of materials for teaching staff
Library based activities with students
Maintaining stock
Developing library as multimedia resource centre

Teaching Assistant for Physical Education (Full time, academic staff)

Requirements:

Thai national
Female
Graduate
Ability to speak English is essential
Coaching skills in one or more sports are an advantage

Responsibilities:

The role of the teaching assistant will be to assist the PE teacher with all PE classes from Kindergarten up to Year 11 across a range of sports including swimming.
The successful candidate will also be required to participate in sporting activities with our boarding students at weekend during term time.

Teaching Assistant for ESL (Full time, academic staff)

Requirements:

Graduate
Excellent standards of spoken and written English are essential
Experience of working with young people desirable
Self-motivated individual to join our team

Responsibilities:

The role of the teaching assistant will work in the ESL department with new entrants to the school who require additional English support
Providing one-to-one, small group and in-class support to our ESL learners
