Ban San Klang School Chiang Rai, also known as ABEC School Chiang Rai, is a former private institution that has since transitioned to public status. It is conveniently located near the famous White Temple in Chiang Rai.
The current Director (as of 2024) served on the board of directors at Amec School for two years before assuming his current role.

PHILOSOPHY (2024)
According to the current Director, education extends beyond academics to include emotional management, sports, arts and crafts, music exploration, community service, and research. The child is viewed as a whole person, encompassing all these aspects.

Monday: Thai school uniform
Tuesday: Scout uniform
Wednesday: Sports attire
Thursday: Wear what you like (as long as it is neat and respectful)
Friday: Lanna uniform
Note: On Thursdays, kindergarteners can wear anything they like, including costumes if they wish.
HOMEWORK
Homework is assigned to reinforce the day’s learning but is kept minimal to allow children time for other activities at home, such as working with parents, attending a language center, or participating in extracurricular activities. Additionally, students who complete their work on time have the opportunity to finish their homework at school, thereby eliminating the need for homework at home.
WAT RONG KHUN (a.k.a. The White Temple) & ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
At the White Temple, twice a week (weather permitting), students are encouraged to practice their language skills by guiding tourists and visitors in English or Chinese.
KINDERGARTEN & MONTESSORI
From K1 to K3, the curriculum follows the Montessori method. Chinese and English are integrated into the teaching alongside Thai. Nap time for K1 and K2 is from 1 PM to 3 PM in an air-conditioned room to ensure restful sleep. The English and Thai alphabets are introduced starting in K3. English and Chinese are taught in a playful manner at the end of the day.
