About this school : Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) is a Thai public secondary school that provides a co-educational system for students from 7th to 12th grade. Founded in 1971, Bodindecha is now notably known as one of the most prestigious secondary school with its masterful faculties, fully equipped facilities, and solid curriculum

Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) is located in Wang Thonglang district of Bangkok, with its size of 16 acre. Bodindecha provides fully equipped and world class standard facilities to nearly 5,000 students such as a soccer field, two auditoriums, a library, a sport complex, a swimming pool, classrooms, and science labs.

The land was initially occupied by Chao Praya Bodindecha (Sing Singhasewni) – the supreme general in the era of King Rama III (Phra Nang Klao) – and eventually passed on to his beneficiary, Khqun Ying Na Korn Rachaseni (Singhaseni). In accordance with the determination of Chao Praya Bodindecha, she had decided to donate the land to the Ministry of Education in order to complete Chao Praya Bodindecha’s desire to have a place that could help people to become more educated, mature, and responsible, which would ultimately result in bringing peace to all mankind.

In 1964, the Ministry of Education authorized Khun Ying Boonluen Kruatrachoo – the headmaster of Traim Udom Suksa School at that time – to initially coordinate the establishment. With her help, the school was eventually established as Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) and accredited by the Minister of Education on April 30,1971. Additionally, on February 23,1972 Bodindecha has been permitted to use Phra Kiao (Coronet of the King Chulalongkorn) as the school emblem.

In 1971, Chalerm Singhaseni was designated to be the first headmaster of the school. In addition, the school initiated its admission to 7th and 10th grade students; 838 student were admitted.

In 2010, the school has signed the exchange program agreement with Dali High School in Yunnan, China to exchange students and cultures between Thailand and China.

After a few decades since the establishment, the school has not only rapidly gained renown and prestige, but also achieved a tremendous number of notable awards from many international and domestic organizations.

The bronze medal from International Young Mathematicians Convention (IYMC) held in India
The “Good Practices” award from Thailand Quality Award (TQA)
The winner of 11th Yamaha All Thailand Marching Band Competition
The winner of the International Environmental Convention held in the United States
The winner of Thailand Volleyball competition from Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand
These remarkable awards are distinctly perfect proofs that the school has been continually developed and created an abundant number of quality students and alumni contributed to the society, and have brought Bodindecha joy and pride.
