About Ekamai International School:
Ekamai International School (EIS) is a private, non-profit, co-educational Christian school (Pre-K 12) founded and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Mission in Thailand. It was first established in 1946 as a church school at Phyathai Road and moved to its present location in 1957.

The school name has changed a few times, either due to legal requirements or changing perceptions of what most accurately describes the role of the school.

In 1993 the name change was from Adventist English School to Ekamai International School. Before that year the school operated under a vocational license.

Although EIS mainly serves the Thai community, 33 countries are represented in the student body and English is used as the medium of instruction. The majority of its students comes from different religious backgrounds but the parents are supportive of the religious studies and activities that the school organizes.

The school considers its strong point to be its emphasis on good conduct, character development and teacher’s concern for students. As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian International School, EIS places great emphasis on the role of spiritual values in the personal lives of its students.

Our Faith:
There is an eternal and perfect Supreme Being whose nature of love has revealed itself in creating and sustaining the universe. Human beings, formed in His likeness as free moral agents, received unlimited potential for holistic development within the Divine plan.

A celestial, created being in the perfect universe chose to oppose the divine principles and the character of love. Mankind also chose to deviate from the Divine plan. As a result, humanity finds itself in a limited and degenerated condition in a world of chaos and death. Man lives in the midst of a great conflict between good and evil, between truth and error.

The Creator gave Himself as the ultimate sacrifice in order to bring the fractured universe into harmony with the Divine plan. Man can only be restored to his original state through accepting this gift of redemption provided by his Creator.

Mission Statement:
We offer a challenging, Christ centered academic program and the opportunity for students to exercise and expand their varied abilities and potential. We endeavor to create a climate marked by a sense of God’s presence and action in the world, love for one’s neighbor and a concern for social justice and equality for all people.

Vision:
At Ekamai International School we recognize that the future depends on the human intellect of its youth. Our students must be engaged in rigorous, relevant academic content that translates into readiness to succeed in an information-rich society and a high-tech, global economy.

We will create a learning environment where every student learns to think critically in his/her academic studies and acquire opportunities and skills that will serve them well throughout their lives in this increasingly fast-paced high-tech world.

We will continue to promote and implement digital inclusion; integrate technology into every area of the learning environment, including curriculum delivery, community collaboration, office support, content creation and sharing content and assessments.

We will generate innovative education practices and new models of learning. This unique combination of rigorous academic standards with 21st century concepts and skills will contribute to high levels of academic achievement at EIS for today and into the future.

Ekamai International School’s Philosophy:
True education involves the whole person and promotes the harmonious development of the physical, mental, social and spiritual dimensions of human nature.
