The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific region through higher education, research and outreach. Established in Bangkok in 1959, AIT has become a leading regional postgraduate institution and is actively working with public and private sector partners throughout the region and with some of the top universities in the world. Recognized for its multinational, multi- cultural ethos, the Institute operates as a self-contained international community at its campus located 40 km (25 miles) north of Bangkok.

Royal Thai Government Fellowships

A full or partial fellowship granted to qualified candidates with very good undergraduate achievements from Thailand to pursue the MBA or PHD at the School of Management (SOM).

Details of the Scholarships

The fellowships provide an opportunity for students of diverse backgrounds from Thailand to study and do research work together with classmates from more than 30 countries in the truly international environment at AIT, to build a good foundation for international understanding among people of Asia and beyond.
Each RTG Fellowship award covers between 50% and 100% tuition and fees. The values as shown in the following table:
1. Full Study Cost Fellowships (752,000 Baht Award). This fellowship covers the entire tuition fees of Masters program. Requirement: Cumulative GPA 3.5 or higher
2. 75% Study Cost Fellowships (564,000 Baht Award). Recipients pay study cost of one semester, or 188,000 Baht. Requirement: Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
3. 50% Study Cost Fellowships (376,000 Baht Award). Recipients pay study cost of two semesters, or 376,000 Baht. Requirement: Cumulative GPA 2.75 or higher
4. Fellowships for Doctoral applicants vary depending on their academic credentials. Normally, eligible applicants should have attained a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 in their Master program and 3.0 in their Undergraduate program.

Eligibility requirements to be considered for RTG Fellowships

    Thai nationality.
    Graduated with bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
    Have a good education record in a 4-year undergraduate program with CGPA above 2.75/4 or equivalent, and high proficiency in English (a TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent).
    a minimum of one-year’s relevant work experience is recommended

Fellowships cover tuition fees only
Fellowships do not cover registration fees, accommodation or living expenses
Please be informed that the above scheme is to be used as guidelines of the Selection Committee, but not necessary means that every applicant with the required GPA will receive the corresponding amount of the fellowship. The final decision will rest totally with the Selection Committee.
