A brief on history
Hanoi School of Business (HSB) under Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU) was founded on 13th. July 1995 by prominent late Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dao, a beloved teacher and the first director of VNU. Since then HSB has been pioneering & famous MBA and executive training center all around Vietnam. For the last 20 years, generations of HSB lecturers, students and staff members have tried hard to develop HSB and to carry out our commitments towards those who have contributed their time and passion and those who have donated to build up HSB.
HSB history is shining with its outstanding culture that respects teachers and morals, and that is innovation and community spirit. These cultural values have attracted top-quality teaching staff including leading academic professors and field specialists for the development of HSB special training programs with up-to-date teaching technologies that help our students grasp necessary knowledge and improve their professional skills.
HSB history is also made of tremendous supports and friendship from sponsors and international prominent lecturers who have joined HSB research and teaching teams, those who have showed their love to Vietnam and their passion to help HSB students.
Some Achievements
Today HSB has become a leading and famous brand-name in Vietnam for MBA and Executive Training and Consultancy for both public and private sectors with more than 10,000 happy and successful alumni among which many are ministers, vice ministers, famous CEO and executives of Vietnam.
HSB is well-known as the first training institute in Vietnam to receive ISO certification for all of training and consultancy activities. Internationally and regionally, HSB became the first Vietnamese school of business to join Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS), an international organization with more than 100 training centers, in which about 11 business schools are holding top positions around Asia. Members of AAPBS cooperate in doing research, teaching and supporting Business Training Centers to enhance educational quality and standardization. During all these years of development, HSB and its educational partners were members of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) of the United States.
On international stage, HSB has built up close relationships with major universities in Asia as well as in the United States, EU and Australia. International cooperation activities have been enhanced including the exchange of teaching staff, learners, and experts for various associated programs. Learners have chances to join different type of programs, from MBA to executive courses and to short-term training courses oversea.
New Developments
Today HSB has moved to a new stage of development with many advantages but also a lot of challenges. HSB new team of leadership, lecturers and staff members are always thriving toward innovation in order to continue and realize the aspiration of generations of teachers and students that HSB must sustain and become a reliable address for training, scientific research, consultancy and transfer of advanced technology of management to organizations and enterprises.
With the supports of prominent scientists, international lecturers and alumni, since 2013 HSB has designed and implemented many new training programs that are outstanding and inter-disciplinary and that closely link theory with practice and the tools for thinking with the tools for doing. Beside MBA and new master programs, HSB focuses on developing short-term and executive training courses such as: director of strategy, director of technology and entrepreneurship, director of marketing and sales, expert in management of human resources and talents, expert in management of finance and assets, expert in management of risk and enterprise security, etc.
By attracting more research and teaching staff graduated from high-ranking university worldwide with practical experience, HSB will be able to carry out its vision and mission to educate leaders, executives and professional managers for both public and private sectors, and to make active contributions in the process of research, development and application of interdisciplinary management sciences in Vietnam.
