Established in July 2002, International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS) is one of the first higher education institutions to offer joint international training programs.
Since its foundation, IS-VNU has recorded remarkable developments in both training scope and quality. From a small institution only offering one undergraduate program in Russian, the school has designed and successfully offered a number of joint international undergraduate programs conducted in English, Russian, French and Chinese. VNU-IS has also offered graduate programs such as Master of Business Administration (majoring in Finance-Banking for Vietnam), Master of Finance, Banking and Insurance (Vietnam & South East Asia), Master of Marketing & Prospective, Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and Master of Science in Information Management (MIM).
VNU-IS has cooperated with foreign universities in offering short training courses in fields of common interest. In addition, many non-governmental organization (NGOs) have cooperated with VNU-IS to conduct projects and scientific seminars, and have offered books, scientific magazines and laboratories to VNU-IS.
