   Quy Nhon University (QNU) is a multidisciplinary and multi-sector higher education institute, contributing greatly to the development of human resources and of science and technology in the fields of natural science, engineering science, social science and humanities, technology and education in South-Central Vietnam, the nearby surrounding highlands and the entire nation through training, research, science and technology application, service provision activities that meet the government’s requirements and the market demand.

   The university has 16 departments, 8 centers and 11 university-affiliated offices with a total staff of 805, among whom are 599 lecturers with more than 88 associate professors, doctors and 422 masters. QNU currently has nearly 29,000 undergraduates and 1,023 postgraduates studying 37 and 11 majors, respectively.

    37 Undergraduate majors include:

          + 13 Pedagogical majors: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Literature, Computer Science, English, Political Education, Primary Education, Kindergarten Education and Physical Education.

          + 15 General majors: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Land Management, State Management, Information Technology, Literature, Vietnamology, English Linguistics, Social Work, Psychology Education and Education Management.

          + 4 Economic majors: Finance and Banking, Business Administration and Economics and Accounting.

          + 5 Engineering majors: Electrical Technique-Electronic, Electronic Technique-Telecommunications, Construction Technology Engineering, Chemical Technology Engineering and Agronomy.

          11 Postgraduate majors: Mathematics Analysis, Elementary Mathematical Methods, Algebra and Number Theory, Vietnamese Literature, Vietnamese History, Experimental Biology, Computer Science, English Linguistics, Education Administration, Accounting and Theoretical and Physical Chemistry.

          In addition, QNU also promotes scientific research and application of scientific and technological achievements in solving economic, cultural and social issues, thus contributing to the enhancement of its prestige in the region.

          QNU has established cooperative relations with well-known organizations and institutes such as Fulbright and ELI. QNU has also extended its education cooperation with many international universities, such as Phuc Kien Teachers’ Training College, Paris 7 University, Marseille University, Lyon University, Limoges University, Konkuk University, Chung Yuan Christian University,… Furthermore, QNU has founded some research groups with West Georgia University, Deakin University and Japan’s Advanced Institute of Science and Technology,…
