NIST is looking for an effective and connected educator to join our Secondary EAL team. The preferred candidate will have experience of the IB Middle Years Programme (PYP) and a passion for supporting English Language Learners (ELLs). There may also be the possibility to apply for a leadership role in the department for the right candidate.
The position will require:
- The ability to provide in class support for a range of age groups level classes
- The ability to teach English language acquisition classes
- An understanding of the appropriate blend of in class and focused support for ELLs
- The ability to communicate and report student progress to parents, teachers and students
- The ability to occupy a variety of roles: teacher, co-teacher, consultant and coach
