JOB PURPOSE:
To effectively deliver the BVIS Summer School programme, ensuring high student and parent satisfaction
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. To teach the Summer School programme, ensuring there is a strong focus on English literacy and development of age-appropriate skills;
2. To plan, organise and deliver agreed trips, activities and events that have a strong educational focus;
3. To develop lesson plans and be responsible for all course materials for the allocated year group;
4. To contribute to the promotional material and marketing of the summer school programme;
5. To participate in regular meetings and briefings, and to effectively communicate with the rest of the Summer School team;
6. To proactively seek student and parent feedback on a daily basis and share the feedback to the Summer School Director without delay;
7. To ensure students are engaged with and excited about the programme, and that their parents are fully aware of the benefits of the programme;
8. To provide weekly feedback to students and parents on student progress, and to engage with parents on a daily basis;
9. To ensure all activities of the year group are fully compliant with the schools? policies and procedures, in particular children?s wellbeing, and health and safety;
10. To undertake other duties commensurate with the responsibility as Summer School Teacher.
