The position is based in Hat Yai, Songkhla province and will involve teaching primary levels 1, 2 or 3 for 20 hours per week.
A competitive salary of 35,000 to 40,000 baht is offered depending on experience.
A bachelor’s degree in any subject is essential and priority will be given to those with a Bachelors in education and/or a Tefl/Tesol qualification.
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two full-time native English speakers to join our expanding I.E. programme. Saengthong Vittaya School is part of the Salesian group, a leading and respected provider of education in Thailand. The I.E. programme offers children in primary levels 1, 2, and 3 to study a range of subjects in the English language for 23 hours per week. Each teacher employed will be required to teach one grade for 20 hour per week Monday to Friday. The subjects include; English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and I.C.T. A curriculum, example lesson plans, resources, texts and guidance will be offered to successful candidates for all subjects.
These positions would ideally suit enthusiastic individuals who are experienced teachers or those who wish to gain experience in teaching to further their careers in the field.
Candidates will be required to start in March to join our summer camp and to prepare themselves for starting the I.E. programme. The I.E. programme classes start on the 7th of May. We want to give our new teachers as much time to prepare and settle into the school before their first day on the programme and will offer lots of support in doing this.
Person Specification
Essential criteria:
Native English Speakers.
Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
Willingness to commit to at least one year’s contract.
Enthusiasm for teaching and developing.
Desirable criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in education or core subject (English, Maths, Science)
Tefl or Tesol certificate
