What You Will Do
* Job Purpose:
The Regional Academic Manager (RAM) for the north works as part of a team in Hanoi Head Office responsible for training, developing and managing Academic Managers at the training centres to ensure the ILA quality standards are delivered to every classroom
The RAM should ensure both lesson content and classroom conditions meet ILA quality standards, this includes areas such as quality of teaching, resources, equipment, etc.
Responsibilities:
Direct cost and non-financial KPIs monitoring and ensuring AMs have relevant action plans
Acting AM role for new centers: Staff request, center meetings and outsourcing new teacher induction to other centers
Point of contact between local staff, head office and other managers
Recruitment and supply of: Academic Management Team; overseeing the recruitment of foreign and local teachers
Induction and professional development of Academic Management Team
Functional knowledge / skills training, ongoing development, assessment of: Academic Management Team, Foreign and local teachers
Product delivery quality control (teaching quality, working process, reporting systems, etc.
What You Are Good At- Qualifications:
- Teaching certification (TESOL preferred)
- Bachelor Degree
Management in an educational context
Skills:
- High level of English (This job is open to both Vietnamese and foreign citizens)
- Excellent interpersonal skills in an international enviroment
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
- A great deal of energy and enthusiasm
Highly organised and able to work within deadlines
Computers:
MS Office Applications
Other requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years Management experience, preferably within in ELT
- Ability to travel to distant and regional centers when acting AM and for the academic assessment (conducted biannually).
- Candidates who have lived or worked abroad will be at an advantage
