Hello English screens applicants and educational institutions to ensure high quality and best practice, and works closely with both teaching staff and the Thai schools. Hello English is not an agency as such – classroom practitioners are observed and ongoing CPD opportunities are provided.
As the largest and most established language school in Songkhla Province, Hello English maintains the highest standards. Staff are expected to teach with dedication, creativity and passion. There are also obligations regarding cultural events and ECAs. That said, timetables are teacher friendly, contact hours are lower than average and the staff-student ratio is workable. At primary school level teaching assistants are provided.
All visas and necessary paperwork are organised by Hello English. They also offer excellent paid holidays, regular bonuses, opportunities for progression and sickness/maternity pay, Thai language lessons, etc. They also assist newcomers with accommodation, vehicle registration and negotiating Thai life. Moral amongst staff is high – there are also close relations between Thai and Western staff.
Salaries are not high but are above average for the area. Hatyai is comparatively low cost and it is possible to live well and save.
