About this School: Tewi’s Language School (TLS Language School) was established in Bangkok in 1999 and became a fully approved educational facility when the Ministry of Education (MoE) issued the school with its educational licenses and TEFL License in 2004. In 2008 we opened our second school, the CTLS Language School, in Pattaya.
As its reputation grew and student numbers increased, CTLS Language School became such a huge success it ran out of classroom space and had no choice but to expand. The extension of the school from 2 to 4 buildings was completed in the summer of 2010.
It was a similar story for the TLS Language School in Bangkok, and a second School was opened in Nonthanburi to cope with the growing student numbers.
In 2008 TLS Language School was awarded the license to teach the 20 Hour Thai Culture Course. This Educational License is highly prestigious. We are the only School in Thailand to be awarded this license and are listed at 21 of 27 approved training centers, the majority being universities.
In 2010 Tewi Gleeson the owner of TLS Language School and CTLS Language School was awarded a PhD. Dr. Tewi Gleeson will achieve her second PhD in Educational Leadership in the summer of 2011. An expert on Educational Law, she acts as an education consultant to organizations that wish to open schools and universities.
In 2010 we opened our Approved Legal Practice , CTLS Legal Services, so we could offer our students a full range of legal services.
In 2006 we were awarded special Licenses to offer Long stay visas or Student Visas for students taking extended languages courses in English and Thai. In 2010 we were awarded an additional 14 new licenses. This will allow our school to offer Student Visas or Education Visas in all these new subjects.
According to the MoE, TLS Language School and CTLS Language School are Thailand’s No. 1 Language School in providing the Student Visa or Educational Visa (ED Visa).

Today, teaching in Thailand is not as easy as it use to be. Thai law now requires all foreign nationals and Thais to obtain a Thailand Teaching License, the first step of which is the obligatory 20 Hour Thai Culture Course.
TLS Language School and CTLS Language School also offer preparation courses for the TOEFL and IELTS. Although TOEFL can be challenging and, at times, frustrating, it is a necessary first step to apply for study at a University abroad. TOEFL assists academic institutions in making admission decisions and over 7,500 colleges and universities in more than 130 countries accept TOEFL test scores.
TLS Language School and CTLS Language School are very privileged in being granted the Traditional Thai Arts license. This allows us to teach Khon Dance within our schools, helping to preserve Thai Culture and art. We can also offer this subject to foreign nationals wishing to obtain a student visa.
As a school we have the licenses to teach all Language Programs. We use native language speakers for the languages we teach.
What holds for the Future?In 2011 TLS Language School will acquire the license to teach the 9 educational elements that are required for teachers to obtain a teaching license in line with the Teachers Council of Thailand quest to raise the standards of teachers teaching in schools in Thailand.
TLS Language School are also open to franchising our licenses in areas of Thailand where we are not established. Dr. Tewi Gleeson would act as consultant and liase with the education and immigration departments on your behalf.
