About this school :
IGB International School (IGBIS) is a vibrant Early Years to Grade 12 international school that provides a dynamic, innovative and inclusive learning environment where students are challenged to excel in both their learning and their personal growth. An International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, IGBIS is the only school in Malaysia authorised for the full continuum of IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP). The school is a member of the Association of International Schools in Malaysia (AIMS), and the Council of International Schools (CIS). The internationally experienced staff at IGBIS maintain a commitment to a high quality, stimulating international education where students receive a challenging, caring and holistic education.
The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. This philosophy underpins the curriculum, co-curriculum and after-school programmes at IGBIS with an aim of inspiring students to become principled, global citizens. A focus on sports, visual and performing arts, languages, outdoor education and community service complements the school’s commitment to providing students with a 21st Century learning environment. This is achieved by incorporating the latest information technology into classrooms.
The outstanding facilities that provide students opportunities to explore their talents and interests, include a 50-metre Olympic-size swimming pool and a 25-metre learn-to-swim pool, an 8-lane 400-metre running track surrounding a FIFA-standard artificial turf football pitch, five visual arts studios and a multi-media art studio, purpose-built music and drama rooms, and a 534-seat state-of-the-art theatre.
The school is well connected by the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Middle Ring Road (MRR2), making it readily accessible from all parts of the city. Coming from Bangsar and Damansara takeS approximately 20 minutes, and even less from the Mont Kiara area. Our school is very close to the railway station for the KTM Komuter’s Rawang-Seremban Route and the Sungai Buloh MRT station adjacent to the school grounds.
