ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR LEVEL

The School of Engineering and Technology (SET) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) invites applications for a faculty position at the assistant professor or associate professor level in areas of Telecommunications (TC). Candidates able to teach postgraduate courses are especially encouraged to apply. The position will remain open until a qualified candidate has been found. The successful candidate may start work in the August 2014 semester.

Job Description:

The position is for a full-time faculty member with the following responsibilities:

Teaching in TC’s postgraduate, undergraduate, and short-term training programs
Supervising postgraduate student research and undergraduate senior projects
Attracting research grants from the public and private sectors
Developing new curricula
Performing outreach activities

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Telecommunications or closely related area
Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research
Strong publication record demonstrating ability to perform independent research
Expertise in the following specialization areas: Digital Transmission, Switching Systems, Fiber Optic Systems, Cellular Mobile Systems, Teletraffic Engineering, Wireless Communications, and Network Planning.
