The kindergarten teacher is responsible for planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage children’s creativity and learning and promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
Teachers at CRIS are expected to serve on one or more committees in order to improve our curriculum and plan the direction of the school.
Qualifications
Native English speaker
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
Teaching certification or license from a recognized institution, state or country
Experience
At least two years’ teaching experience in the early years setting
Experience teaching early literacy and numeracy
Ability/Knowledge
Knowledgeable in early childhood education
Ability to differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of a wide range of learners
Must have patience and be able to teach very young learners
Willing to work as part of a team and work in accordance with the Kindergarten Coordinator
