General Description:
KIS International School is currently looking for a pro-active, caring, and collaborative person who will take an active role designing, managing, and administering accommodations, support services, and educational instruction to students with a range of learning support needs.
Position Description:
The Learning Support Teacher will provide push-in and pull-out support for students with special needs (primarily ADD, dyslexia, and processing disorders). In this role, you will work with the Secondary School Counselor, Secondary School Administration, and individual classroom teachers to ensure that students are working toward their goals and receiving support according to their individual learning plans.
Requirements:
- Must be a Thai citizen and have a Thai teaching license
- Fluent Bilingual Thai/English
- Collaborative team member – able to work with Thai and non-Thai staff, students, and families
- Must be able to work independently
- Involved in whole school development
- Participant in the KIS School Community
- Professional Attitude
- Must be flexible
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Must be highly organized
- Competent computer skills
- Must have a Thai teaching license
- MA in topics related to psychology, special education, etc. highly desirable
