About:
It is a joy and a blessing that BGIS has been established with God’s grace. Without his grace, today there would not be Bangkok Grace International School. It has been over 25 years since I have been called to Thailand and children ministry has always been my passion. God has done great things in my life and as a missionary after establishing Thailand Sunday School Institute since 1990; I have realized later that the ultimate goal of children ministry is to train children to become the next Champions for Christ. They will become the leaders of generation that God has planned great things for them, but to get through this world, they need to get trained and ready for the battle. Only with God’s help and growing together can they survive each day. The most important thing is to trust in Him and always follow God’s Word with their whole heart.
Bangkok Grace International School was not created to gain money or establish business by creating more institution. BGIS was not built to raise student’s score but was designed to create leaders of God’s generations that would change the world. BGIS is a place that gives opportunity to the students who yearns to study and make difference in the community. The World is full of disappointment but we cannot give up due to the difficulties that we face each day. BGIS exists to train students to become like Daniel and his friends as they have changed the history by being constantly faithful and standing strong on God’s Word.
We have qualified teachers and staffs from different parts of the world. They have been gathered here at this place with hopes and prayer to serve the community. Action speaks louder than word and money cannot change the world. Only through Christ may we find the true value of life.
History:
BGIS was founded in September of 1999 by Rev. Dr. Sila Jung, the founder and the President of Thailand Sunday School Institute. BGIS is a private Christian international school serving the Thai and international community with its diverse backgrounds and religions. BGIS was started with 5 kindergarten students and have opened grade 1-6 in year 2004. After 2005, each grade level was opened and in May 2011 the first graduate of BGIS was progressed.
BGIS is surrounded with well-known schools and universities, mansions, hospitals, village, police stations, shopping malls, National Sport Museum, and more. At BGIS, we strive to teach Biblical foundation expressing a Biblical worldvieww. Daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services provide students instruction in values and morals for Christian living.

Bangkok Grace International School exists in training, equipping, and providing opportunities to realize God-given potentials to glorify and serve God in the spiritual, academic, social, physical and vocational area.
Accreditation:
Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met. If standards are met, accredited status is granted by the agency. In Thailand all International School are required by the Thailand’s Ministry of Education to obtain a local quality assurance as well as an overseas accreditation.
Overseas and Local Accreditation:
From the inception of the school, BGIS has worked with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) to provide us with an external overseas accreditation. WASC is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States. This is the same accreditation institution that gives accreditation to the universities in western part of the United States including Standford university, University of California – Berkeley, University of California – Los Angeles and etc. The Commission provides assistance to schools located in California, Hawaii, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, American Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and East Asia including Thailand.
BGIS has been accredited by WASC and as a result of that BGIS students are well accepted in all universities in Thailand and around the world. Transferring from BGIS to another school, college or university in Thailand or anywhere in the world is possible.
BGIS has also been accredited by Thailand’s Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (QNESQA). The Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization) is an academic body specializing in educational quality evaluation. It has the objectives of enhancing the quality of the education provision system in Thailand, enabling the educational institutions to provide quality education to learners, who will be endowed with virtue, competence and happiness.
Licenses:
In order to establish an international school in Thailand, international school license has to be granted from the Office of the Private Education Commission of the Thailand’s Ministry of Education. BGIS was awarded the international school license permitting BGIS to operate kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school using American curriculum. On the other hand, We are proud to offer a challenging American-based curriculum and being implemented by qualified, experienced, caring, and God-loving teachers
