About:
IPC (The International Pre-School Center) opened in 1983, making it one of Bangkok’s oldest and best loved preschools. We pride ourselves in providing a solid early education to young children in a cosy and intimate environment. Privately owned by Khun Marianne Chirathivat and family with the 3rd generation attending IPC, we aim to keep the school small so that every child is known by name throughout our campus.
Our IPC is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere. We are proud to have educated over 7000 students and hosted at least 30 nationalities at our schools. We believe we can help build your child’s confidence and instill a love of learning which will last a lifetime.
Our IPC Nursery section accepts children from 18 months to 3 years on a part/ full time basis. Our staff introduce young children to a wonderful timetable taught at age appropriate level.
Our IPC International Kindergarten accepts children from 3.5 to 6 years. Lessons become more academic but emphasis is on having fun! Our students become multi-talented due to our unique timetable: a balance of academic and specialist subjects is the IPC promise.
Set in a large, quiet compound with mature trees and natural shade, our maximum enrollment of just over seventy children keeps IPC intimate.
We have an amazing team of staff at IPC including Class Teachers, Support Teachers and Nannies. With only four classes and small class sizes, we ensure the highest quality of education is being offered to IPC children. Our children are stimulated with classroom activities as well as Specialist subjects taught in specially designed Studios and rooms. Our Specialist Subjects include Art, Pottery, Cooking, Music & Movement, Drama, Mini Movers, Thai Culture, Thai Language, Mind & Body Balance, Computers and Brain Gym.
We are recommended by the top International schools in Bangkok and have a 100% acceptance rate for our graduates to the school of choice. We also strive to combat the incidence of bacterial and viral infections by having proactive, hygienic practices to make sure that IPC is a wellness centre. We appreciate our students parents’ cooperation in this area. We hope to welcome you and your child to IPC soon. IPC…where learning is Fun!
IPC Curriculum
At IPC International Kindergarten & Nursery, there are two Nursery classes and two Kindergarten classes. In Nursery there are not strict age requirements as they are purely a guide as we look at each child as an individual. Children in Nursery can choose to come part-time (2 or 3 days a week) or full time (5 days a week).
Children need to be 3 years old by the end of August before they can enter Kindergarten. Kindergarten children must attend school 5 days a week. All children start their day at 8:30am but their finish time can vary depending on each child’s needs. Our start and finish times are as follows (each day of the week can be different if necessary):
8:30am- 12:30pm 8:30am- 13:00pm (including Lunch)

Our IPC curriculum follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage but incorporates almost 30 years of our own experiences to create a well-rounded programme. All children following our IPC programme will be accepted to all systems of “big school”. British, International, American, Australian, Canadian, are examples of curriculum where our students have continued their studies after leaving IPC.
