Dear SNA Families,
On behalf of the SNA family, the administration, and faculty, we wish a hearty welcome to returning students and their families, and to the new students and their families to the 2014-2015 school year.
I want to congratulate each and every one of you for you have made the right choice in selecting SNA to teach and nurture your child. As confirmation that you have chosen wisely, I would like to firstly remind you that SNA was established in 2005 as the first dual curriculum program instructing students in a Vietnamese program directed by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and which operated in tandem with an American education program which is aligned with the State of California Department of Education. Secondly, I am proud to announce that SNA has just been awarded a full six year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) which is your assurance SNA has passed the rigorous standards necessary for such accreditation. WASC is one of the most prestigious accrediting agencies in the United States of America.
Now that SNA is fully accredited, our school has fulfilled the promise we made from the very first day of our having been established in 2005, that each step we take would be to enhance the overall education of your child. It is time for every one of us, SNA staff and faculty, including me, your proud principal to renew our commitment by launching a new journey towards excellence. The goal of the journey is to have all of our graduates to be accepted into, and to be offered scholarships into the most prestigious and famous universities in the United States and around the world. We call this new journey, THE ROAD TO CAMELOT!
Together with our Board President, Dr. Ho Thieu Hung, the former Director of HCMC Department of Education and Training, our Superintendent, Professor/Doctor Le KhacHuy, the former Director of Office Two, of the Ministry of Education and Training, and former Rector of Hue National University, and our founder and our Board of Governance Committee Chairman, Professor/Doctor John Lee Y, I want to welcome you to the family of the Schools of North America.
This will be an exciting year for us to continue to offer your child an exceptional educational experience. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you in the coming academic year.
