Some might found school uniforms attractive and cute but the reality is that it adds up to what a student needs to pay on top of tuition fees, books and bags. And because of it, students from poor families tend to drop school at early age preferring to go work in the field rather than constantly having to fight with the school teachers and staff over school uniforms which they cannot afford. Not having the right uniform in a Thai school is just too much of a burden -emotionally and financially, so why Thai rural people feel that education should be free and are not willing to pay more than they already due for things like school uniforms. Therefore, should the school uniforms be banned, more could attend school longer and it might better the education system as the smart ones would get to continue learning.
