ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE (EAL) TEACHER (MYP & DP) for NIST International School (Oct 2015)

(Required for August 2016)

NIST is looking for an effective and connected educator to join our Secondary EAL team. The preferred candidate will have experience of the IB Middle Years Programme (PYP) and a passion for supporting English Language Learners (ELLs). There may also be the possibility to apply for a leadership role in the department for the right candidate.

The position will require:

• The ability to provide in class support for a range of age groups level classes
• The ability to teach English language acquisition classes
• An understanding of the appropriate blend of in class and focused support for ELLs
• The ability to communicate and report student progress to parents, teachers and students
• The ability to occupy a variety of roles: teacher, co-teacher, consultant and coach
