The answer is rather simple: Thailand’s economy depends on trade and to do so Thailand needs English proficient people. Without English language, there is no more trading in Thailand; and without any trading this is more than 60 percent of Thailand’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) that will disappear with it. Yet, teacher salaries keep decreasing and immigration laws towards foreign teachers in Thailand keep being just ridiculously costly and time-consuming.

The system must change.
