ASCOT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL a growing international school in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1995, the school currently has 470 + students on roll from Nursery to year 13 and is applying for IB candidacy. We welcome experienced IB and A level teachers for the secondary positions. The curriculum followed is the National Curriculum for England and Wales with modifications for our position in S.E Asia, in KS4 and KS5 we offer Cambridge IGCSE and A levels.
We are seeking for flexible, creative, passionate teachers with at least three years teaching experience, who are reflective practitioners and are capable of providing quality learning in an international school environment where students have English as a second language.
Summary of Position: Coordination and delivery of the subject area within Secondary and foster cross curricular and cross phase links throughout the school.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To be responsible for: ● the planning, delivery, assessment, monitoring and reporting of the curriculum as directed by the Secondary Headteacher ● the smooth and effective running of Departmental meetings ● all documentation pertaining to the Department, including all CIS documents ● advising on the staffing of the Department ● the professional conduct of the personnel within the Department ● effective and appropriate liaison with parents when necessary as directed by the Secondary Headteacher ● effective and appropriate liaison with staff where necessary as directed by the Secondary Headteacher ● deployment of the departmental budget and up to date department inventories To attend and participate in: ● all staff meetings ● any whole school events (eg: sports days / concerts / Loy Krathong / Chinese New Year / book week / international day etc.) ● Flag Ceremony each morning ● parent / teacher information evenings ● all INSET days ● any extraordinary meetings deemed necessary by the Secondary
