The Australian International School of Bangkok is seeking a Senior Teacher for its new primary school campus on Sukhumvit Soi 31.
The successful applicant will have a record of extensive and high quality teaching at the primary or middle school level, and experience of leadership in schools in Australia or an international school in Asia.
As the school uses the Australian Curriculum and the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, knowledge of this framework is an essential factor in the applicants’ experience.
The Role
The successful appointee will:
Provide leadership of the teaching and learning program Years Prep to 8 section of the school, and there will also be a connection with the Early Childhood section on the Soi 20 campus. Take day to day responsibility for the educational administration of the educational development of the Primary Campus.
Work closely with the Director in the school’s growth and development. Stand in for the Director when necessary. Lead the student positive management program Work closely with the Coordinators of Literacy, Numeracy and Curriculum With the Director, take a leading role in parent education programs, staff recruitment, staff development and professional review. Be part of the senior management team Nursery to Year 6
Essential Requirements:
Applicants must:
Be native English speakers
Be registered or eligible for registration as a teacher in Australia
Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills.

Have a thorough knowledge of curriculum development and knowledge of the Australian Curriculum. Have a high level of competency in administrative IT.
Desirable Requirements:
It will be an advantage for applicants to have a range of value added skills, for example, a capacity to: organise and run co curricular programs, to assist with the school’s Learning Support program or to teach Science or Mathematics as a specialist subject.
The Employment Package
Salary: A livable net salary in Thai baht THB net, plus an accommodation allowance.
Airfare: 40 000 THB contribution to airfare, paid in two 20 000 instalments
Bonus: A contract completion bonus
Performance Incentives: Will be paid for implementation, supervision and operation of co curricular programs, and other value added programs.
Medical Insurance: Paid by the school
Medical / Personal leave: 8 days per school year
Time Release: 2.5 days per week minimum
Holidays: All normal school holidays less – 4 days for mid year holiday, and one day for the Songkran and Christmas holidays.
On site hours: 0715 – 1600 Monday to Friday
The Contract Period:
Is for a minimum of two years
Start Date: July 30th 2015
