Hanoi University is a training facility and provide human resources undergraduate level, graduate to meet the needs of the labor market and abroad. In addition, the University of Hanoi by the Ministry of Education and Training tasked foreign language training for students, graduate students, interns to study abroad; fostering and enhancing foreign language skills for professional staff, management staff of ministries, departments and central agencies and localities in the country.
Hanoi University capable of teaching foreign languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Korean, Bulgarian, Hungary Hungarian, Czech, VAK Slovenia, Romania Romanian, Thai, Arabic, etc. Among the above-mentioned foreign languages has 10 specialized English language training bachelors, 4 specialized language training Masters and PhD.
Hanoi University has deployed trained other bachelor subjects taught in a foreign language since 2002: Business Administration, Tourism, International Studies, Computer Science, Finance and Banking, Accounting (taught in English); Computer Science (taught in Japanese). In addition, the school has trained Bachelor Vietnam for foreigners learning. In the future will open additional specialized training in foreign languages, but other labor market at home and abroad are in high demand.

The school is the governing body of the “Journal of foreign languages” – the only specialized magazine of Vietnam scientific study foreign languages.
The school has training centers and research institutes to meet the needs of society, such as the Center language and culture of Vietnam; Data center and professional English; remote Training Center; Translation Center; Center of Information and Technology; Institute for Social Research and Development.
Hanoi University signed a training cooperation with over 30 foreign universities; diplomatic relations with more than 60 organizations and international educational institutions; have a direct relationship with most of the foreign embassies in Vietnam; participation in cultural activities and foreign exchange-cultural language with many organizations and individuals in Vietnam and internationally.
