ES Counselor/MS Counselor
RIS is looking for Elementary School & Middle School Counselors to provide a
comprehensive counseling program for all children in elementary schools. She/he will
participate in the planning and implementation of the developmental guidance and
counseling program, in relation to the needs of the students being served. Additionally,
she/he will facilitate the intervention team process, as well as coordinate, consult, refer
and deliver curriculum support and informational services where needed.
Requirements:
● Master’s degree in school counseling
● Possess and maintains proper counselor certification
● Possess teaching skills to administer developmental guidance curriculum;
organizational skills; computer literacy; and knowledge of the developmental
guidance philosophy
● Extensive experience in counseling in a K-12 school
● Versed in psychological and sociological theory and practice as it relates to Pre-k-5
and 6th – 8th grade students.
● Proven ability to cooperate with administrators, teachers, staff and parents Ability
to build rapport with students
